{"id":64,"date":"2020-06-11T09:26:42","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T07:26:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ktpe.fei.tuke.sk\/jacko\/wp-edu\/?page_id=64"},"modified":"2020-06-11T09:26:42","modified_gmt":"2020-06-11T07:26:42","slug":"veda-a-vyskum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/en.ktpe.website.tuke.sk\/?page_id=64","title":{"rendered":"Science and Research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><h2>Oblasti v\u00fdskumu<\/h2><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scientific profile of the Department of Theoretical and Industrial Electrical Engineering is focused on the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Study of the electrical, magnetic and structural properties<br>of bulk samples and thin films of lanthanides, especially at<br>low temperatures.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this research focus is to extend the fundamental knowledge of lanthanides and their thin films. This physically very rich group of elements has great potential for practical use and continues to contribute to the development of modern, advanced ferromagnetic materials \u2014 not only in high-power electrical engineering, particularly permanent magnets with a high energy product, but also in low-power electrical engineering, such as high-density recording media for PCs, highly sensitive magnetic-field sensors operating near the limit of detectability, magnetostrictive materials, and high-temperature superconductors. The work involves experimental study of the electrical, magnetic and structural properties of lanthanides and their thin films under extreme conditions \u2014 over a wide temperature range from 4.2 K up to room temperature, and in strong magnetic fields with induction ranging from 0 T up to 9 T. This topic, focused on the study of fundamental properties, has been addressed in three research tasks within the State Plan of Basic Research, one faculty task, and seven grant research tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Electromagnetic compatibility.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this research focus is the analysis and quantification of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues in the construction industry, with attention to both current and emerging technological processes, building materials and design solutions, which increasingly incorporate a high degree of electronics. Based on this analysis, recommendations are proposed for improving EMC quality in newly designed projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Research and development of elasto-magnetic force sensors and the associated<br>measuring equipment.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this research focus is to improve the metrological properties of elasto-magnetic force sensors, to experimentally determine the optimal operating conditions in conjunction with the associated measuring equipment, and to refine the theoretical analysis of various sensor shapes. This area represents applied research. Within it, two patents have been granted, six research tasks have been addressed \u2014 two of them within the &#8220;State Plan of Technical Development&#8221; \u2014 and six tasks have been carried out on a contract basis for industrial partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Modern virtual, intelligent and automated<br>measurement and control systems.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this research focus is the analysis of the problem area, the development of design methodology, the specification of tasks and the determination of parameters for individual components of real-time control of mechatronic systems via the Internet, with attention to security, the definition of transfer functions of individual control blocks, and the determination of limit constraints for real-time controlled systems.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The scientific profile of the Department of Theoretical and Industrial Electrical Engineering is focused on the following areas: Study of the electrical, magnetic and structural propertiesof bulk samples and thin films of lanthanides, especially atlow temperatures.
